Alhaji  Mohammad Ibrahim, OFR mni:  He is a veteran journalist with over 35 years experience. He was a Director General Nigeria Television Authority NTA from 1990-1996, also Director General federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN from 1989-1990, President Nigerian Guild of Editors from 1982-1986, Managing Director NTA Network News 1980-1983. He is a traditional title holder of Magajin Mallam Ringim.


Faruk M. Dalhatu, Managing Director
A graduate of Ohio University, Athens Ohio United States, started his working career as a salesman with Arewa Bottlers Limited (1978 -1979), Chief Clerical Officer, Kano State Urban Development Board (1980 – 1981), and General Manager, Operations Dalfam Nigeria Limited (1990 -1992). He was also Project Manager, Freedom Radio Project (2003). Dalhatu is a member of many governmental and non-governmental organizations. Member, Jigawa State Committee on Micro Finance & Economic empowerment, Director, Women Health Development Network, Vice Chairman, Dutse People Development Association, among others. Faruk Dalhatu is currently the Publisher/CEO of Freedom Newspapers Limited, the publishers of Freedom Express Newspaper and Managing Director Freedom Radio.


Alhaji Ado Mohammad: is an entrepreneur who has vast experience in business, industry and banking. He also has extensive interests in Agriculture and Broadcasting. He served as Branch Manager of Kaduna, Kontagora and Malumfashi Branches as well as Head of Bills and Credit in Kano Branch of the then Barclays Bank (now Union Bank). He was a pioneer management staff of the then Kano Cooperative Bank (which became Tropical Commercial Bank and now Unity Bank). Alhaji Ado Mohammed has in the past served as the Vice-President and President of the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Agriculture and National Vice-President of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Agriculture. He is the Chief Executive Officer of FILAPS, the parent company of Freedom Radio.


Alhaji Bello Mahmud: a retired controller of Nigerian customs Service, was a pioneer Managing Director Kano State Television Corporation CTV67 from 1982-1988, Director of Programmes Radio Kano 1980-1982, Senior Producer Radio Nigeria NBC Kano 1978, Producer In charge of Hausa Service Radio Nigeria 1975-1978, programme assistant in charge of Sokoto Provincial Broadcast 1968-1969. He holds Diploma in Public Relations and international affairs as well as journalism 1973, Diploma in German Language 1972. He has Various certificates for a number of seminars and other courses attended at home and abroad.


Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kiyawa: Educator, veteran journalist, administrator and businessman. A registered professional teacher, he taught at the College of Preliminary Studies, Yola and Usman Daniel University in Sokoto. He was the initiator and founding Chairman of Dutse Capital (now Dutse International Model) School. He served as the Commissioner of Education in Jigawa State and is now the Proprietor of Gateway International Schools in Kano and Dutse. He started his journalistic career with NTA, Yola, was editor of Albinos newspaper in Kano and worked with the BBC in London for several years before serving as Commissioner of Information, Youths, Sports and Culture in Jigawa State. He has served/serves as member/chairman of several ommittees/associations/boards at both state and national levels, including banks and other financial institutions. He also served as commissioner of lands and regional planning in Jigawa State. He is still a practising broadcaster. Adamu Kiyawa holds a bachelor’s degree in Hauwa and Graduate Certificate in Education from Abdullahi Bayero College/Amadu Bello University and a master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.


Professor Salisu A. Abdullahi: A Professor of Sociology (with teaching and research interests in criminology, social problems and social policy). He was formerly, the Head of Sociology department, Bayero University and former Special Adviser (Social Policy) to the Chief of General Staff and Vice-Chairman   Provisional Ruling Military Council, Federal Republic of Nigeria. He was a research fellow at the School of African and Oriental Studies, University of London (1994) and visiting scholar, Cleveland State University, USA (2005). Professor Abdullahi served on various national and international committees and boards. He is a patron and member of different professional, occupational and social organizations.


Hajia Rakiya Sani: An Educationist with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Islamic Studies, she was a Programme Manager USAID 1999-2001, Head of Language and Literature Department in the History and Culture Bureau 1988-1991, a Producer and Director Kano State Television Corporation CTV67 1984-1988, Managing Director Confidence Communication, Vice President Centre for Democratic Journalism, Board Member Women in Community Development all from 2001 to date. She is a Policy Analyst.


Abbas M. Dalhatu 42, is the Executive Director in charge of Business Development and deputizes for the Managing Director. He is a pioneer promoter of the company and eventually spearheaded the engineering design, technology acquisition, assembly, training and commissioning if the first station.
He brings on board years of entrepreneurial and project management experience and a passion and drive for electronic media. He currently supervises research and development; commercial and advertising policy formulation and brand development as well as the on-going stations expansion program.
Since inception, he has been a director and secretary to the Board of Directors of the Company as well as member and secretary of the Editorial Board of the Company. He is married with children. He is an associate registered practitioner of advertising and a graduate of Boston University, Massachusetts, USA.


Alhaji Umar Sa’id T/Wada: was a Classroom Teacher, Wudil Local Government, Kano State, Clerical Assistant, Ministry of Works and Housing, Kano State and News Assistant Nigerian Television Authority, NTA Kano, Reporter/Editor/Current Affairs Officer, Kano State TV Corporation, CTV 67,  He was International Broadcaster (Hausa) with Voice of America, Washington D.C., Correspondent (Stringer) Deutsche Welle (Voice of Germany).  AGM Operations Freedom Radio, Editor in Chief/Publisher Factual (Weekly Newspapers, Kano, Special Assistant to the Kano State Governor on Media Affairs, Deputy Director, Press & Public Relations, Government House Kano, He is also a member of many professional bodies some of which are: Nigerian Union of Journalists, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Nigerian Guild of Editors. He is currently the General Manager freedom Radio Kano.


Alhaji Musa K. Mamman holds Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Mass Communication, as well as Masters Degree in Development Studies from Bayero University and also possesses a Diploma in Journalism and Certificate in Sub-editing from Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos. He worked with Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for over 26 years. He served the NTA at its Kano Station and Kaduna Network Centre in various capacities including News Reporter, Editor, Live Commentator, Current Affairs & Documentary Producer, Network Newscaster, Producer Network Footprints Program and Assistant Manager, News. He also holds various Certificates in Presentation and Political Reporting from NTA training Centres. He is currently the Station, Manager Freedom Radio Kano.


Adamu S. Ladan: holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications, a Masters Degree in Development Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management all from Bayero University. He also possesses a Certificate in Reporting Procedures (CIT/USAID/OTI) and a Certificate in Industrial Relations from Michael Imodu Institute of Labour Studies, Ilorin. Ladan  has over 20 years experience in the mass media and related fields.  He served in various capacities (Reporter, Senior and Principal Reporter, Deputy Editor and Acting Editor) at Triumph Publishing Company, Kano, Public Relations Officer of Bank of the North (now Unity Bank), Director of Press to the Katsina State Military Administrator (1997-1999), Investigations Officer at Public Complaints Commission (Katsina), and Current Affairs Officer with Katsina Radio. He also served briefly as Assistant Secretary for Funtua Local Government. He has published many works and was a former Chairman of Katsina State Council of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Member of National Executive Council of NUJ among numerous other positions held. He is an Associate of the National Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR), and currently the Station Manager of Freedom Radio Dutse, Jigawa State.
